Reclaimed Wood Barn Beam Mantel

$595.00

This picture shows one of the many types of Mantels that we have made. The barn beam for this Mantel came from an 1845 farmhouse in Ashtabula County Ohio. In those days settlers would often use whatever type of wood was most readily available. In this case, the framework for this farm house was made from local Poplar. Another name for Poplar is Tulip and it is still a very common tree found in Northeast Ohio. The Mantel has a mellow golden color which can only come from years of aging. Pick up is recommended for the Mantel but shipping can be arranged if needed.
